Qui sont les mentors sur la côte Ouest?

Aujourd’hui le groupe de mentors est composé de personnes très différentes qui ont cependant en commun une expérience professionnelle prolongée aux Etats-Unis dans le secteur des technologies de l’information au sens large d’une part, et dans le secteur de la santé d’autre part.

Dans le secteur des technologies de l’information, ce groupe est composé des mentors CCEF suivants:

Ken Alwyn recently retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) where he was a Senior Partner in the US Firm. During his 39 year career at PWC, he worked with major multinational corporations as well as entrepreneurially-owned high growth companies across a wide spectrum of Industries, including High Technology and Venture Capital. Ken has worked extensively abroad (Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East), and has held significant International roles during his career at PwC. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is fluent in several languages.

Marylène Delbourg-Delphis graduated from l’Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and completed her Doctorate in Philosophy. Three times CEO (4th Dimension, Exemplary Software and Brixlogic). Currently advisor at RackUp, ObjectiveMarketer, Zoomorama and Citizen Logistics. Interim/acting CEO, VP Marketing and Sales, Strategy Consulting, M&A facilitator, Board Member or Advisor during the formative stages of software and Internet startups (about 25 companies).

Patrick Gauthier previously head of Corporate Ventures and Strategic Alliances at Visa Inc., has a record of building successful teams to address new businesses, products, and markets. His skills set comes from a strong technical background and 20 years experience in sales, product marketing and development and engineering positions in several industries. His more recent experience is in payment technology (including mobile payments and authentication), and corporate venture financing.

Jean-Bernard Guerrée has advised scores of companies in their international business transactions for the past 19 years and is the founder of Avisé Partners. His wide network of relationships extends both in Europe and the US (Amazon, T. Rowe Price, eTrade, Visto, Websense, Tell me, eBay, Counterpane…). Jean-Bernard is currently the Chair/Founder of the Global Tech Showcase and the Trans-Atlantic Green Platform conferences. He holds an MBA from the International Business School of Metz/University of San Francisco joint program.

Jean-François Heitz retired as Microsoft Deputy Chief Financial Officer in 2003, previously France’s General Manager. His prior experience includes Matra (Groupe Lagardere) , Envirotech Europe and Air Liquide. He holds an engineering and business degree from the ENS des Mines de Paris and an MS from Stanford University. He is currently on the board of Bull, Arc International and Total Immersion, on the Advisory Board of the Stanford Technology Venture Program and two Technology Funds, and Trustee of non-profit organizations like the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.

François Laugier is a director at Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley, a 120-attorney full-service law firm based in Silicon Valley. For the past 20 years, François has helped entrepreneurs, investors and companies build, finance and sell their US or foreign operations, and get past every legal challenge they encounter along the way. He has handled numerous cross-border acquisitions, “flips” and equity financings, and brought many companies from their inception to successful exits.

Vincent Worms is managing partner of Partech International , a venture capital firm investing in early-stage IT companies in the US (California predominantly) and Europe. His 25 years investment experience, initially in semiconductor and computers, currently focuses on software and the Internet.  He served as director of several public companies, including Business Objects and Informatica, and is currently  on a number of private boards such as InQuira, Intalio, Peerpong and Quantivo, as well as several non-profit philanthropic and cultural organizations.

Ces mentors CCEF se connaissent souvent depuis longtemps et, ensemble, ils offrent aux entrepreneurs un éventail élargi de compétences et un large réseau de relations d’affaires dans la Silicon Valley, à Seattle, et dans l’ouest des Etats-Unis en général.

Ce groupe compte également sur la participation d’une importante communauté de membres associés, aux profils équivalents à ceux des mentors CCEF mais dont l’implication dans le programme est plus ponctuelle. Eux aussi, sur proposition de la part des mentors CCEF, peuvent devenir mentors d’une société. La sélection des dossiers et l’attribution aux divers mentors sont gérées par les mentors CCEF. Le réseau actuellement en place, comptant une vingtaine de membres, permet aujourd’hui de répondre à un spectre particulièrement important de questions et de difficultés auxquelles font face les entrepreneurs français dans leur effort de développement aux Etats-Unis.
